GRANT MAJOR – Network & Field Services Supervisor

Grant took up an apprenticeship with the New Plymouth Electricity Department and has continued to work in the Electrical Industry ever since. While employed at the NP Electricity Department Grant worked predominantly as a day rural faultsman. With the development of NPE-Tech, Grant’s role extended into Field Services for a number of energy retailers. Today Grant is the Network Connections Manager and Field Services Supervisor. NPE-Tech is an approved Powerco contractor, allowing Grant and his team to carry out Network Connections across Powerco’s Central North Island network. Grant oversees the Field Services and Network Connection teams, while also being involved in Inspection Services and Retailer Tariff Meter Installation – a recently developed “one stop” electricity connection service.

ROSS KRONFELD – Contracts Manager

Ross joined NPE-Tech in early 2003 as an Electrical Supervisor/Estimator and took on the role of Contracts Manager in 2014. His day-to-day role involves managing the Electrical Installation (minor/major contracts) and Servicing Division Supervisors, Estimators and Senior Electrical staff. Ross brings over 30 years’ experience in the electrical contracting industry; he has worked for a number of electrical companies over the years and has gained a wealth of experience and knowledge. He has become a well rounded Contracts Manager and is a great asset to the company. Ross also works closely with the General Manager and can step into that role when the General Manager is out of office or is on leave.

PAUL SOFFE – Service Manager

Starting his apprenticeship in early 2002, Paul has spent his entire electrical career with NPE-Tech. Initially carrying out Domestic Appliance Servicing, Paul has developed and grown his experience to include Commercial Appliance Servicing, Heat Pump Servicing and Installation, Refrigeration Servicing and repairs along with General Electrical Servicing. During these years Paul has progressed through the ranks from Service Technician to Service Supervisor, then onto his current role as Service Manager. In his current role, Paul has incorporated additional experience. This includes Heat Pump and HVAC Design, PV Solar Design and Installation, Refrigeration Design, Streetlighting and Network Maintenance and Project Management. Such projects include ongoing future research/design and development with Powerco in the Taranaki, Bay Of Plenty and Palmerston North areas. Paul is also involved with design and development on New Plymouth District Council projects. Paul is constantly working with his team and others to achieve and maintain an exceptional level of Customer Service and Customer Relations.
